Technologies entails two distinct but related subjects:
"Design and Technologies, in which students use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce designed solutions for authentic needs and opportunities [and]
Digital Technologies, in which students use computational thinking and information systems to define, design and implement digital solutions.” -ACARA
This term all year levels are enhancing their knowledge and skills in Digital Technologies. They have established Essential Agreements by exploring Cyber Safety and discussing ethical use of computers.
Additionally, this term
- Preps will have an introduction to iPads
- Year 1’s will be learning about Logging in and Computer Hardware
- Year 2’s will be learning about Cyber Safety, Digital Footprint and Computer Hardware (Input and Output)
- Year 3’s will be applying and building on their knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Year 4’s will be investigating Cyber Safety and will do a revision of Paint and Microsoft Word
- Year 5’s will have an introduction to Excel
